(where applicable) An imposing manor house and two outbuildings, an old
tobacco drying kiln and the old oven where all the sharcropper families
once went to bake their bread, constitute Le Caselle, a property that
recent renovations (the last one in 2014) have transformed from farmhouse
to dream house. In the elegant rooms are many traditional elements -
terracotta, stone, rustic fireplace, vaulted ceilings - but just as many
modern ones such as the kitchen with central island and professional
electrical appliances. Along one entire side of the garden, through a row
of trees, you can see the fields that border on the park allowing guests to
immerse themselves in the tranquility of a 50-hectare estate of vineyards,
tobacco fields, olive groves, livestock, fields of wheat and sunflowers,
producing typical top-quality gastronomical products. Le Caselle is a great
starting point towards the main towns of Tuscany and Umbria, like Siena,
Arezzo and Perugia, and for making day trips to Cortona, Montepulciano and
other delightful little towns in the area. The property consists of three
units: the main house and two outbuildings. THE MAIN HOUSE has two floors.
On the ground floor, the living area is divided into two living rooms, one
with dining area, fireplace and toilet, and a professional kitchen with
island. The sleeping area on this floor consists of a double bedroom with
ensuite bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom with joinable beds with
ensuite bathroom with half-tub. From the main entrance a sandstone
staircase leads up to the first floor with two double bedrooms with ensuite
bathroom with shower, a double bedroom with divisible bed and ensuite
bathroom with shower, one independent suite made up of a lounge room with
double bed on the mezzanine, one double bedroom and one bathroom with
shower. On the left side of the staircase there is a twin bedroom with
joinable beds with bathroom with shower. On a slightly raised floor are a
twin bedroom and a double bedroom, reached by a stone staircase and by a
wooden staircase, which use two of the bathrooms with shower on the lower
floor. ANNEX ONE: just a few metres from the main house, it has two floors
and is composed of a living room with dining area, kitchen with wood stove,
double bedroom with adjacent bathroom with shower and, upstairs, a double
bedroom with adjacent bathroom with shower. APPENDIX TWO: about 20 metres
from the main house, it has two floors and consists of an open-plan area
with kitchen, lounge and dining area, a toilet and, upstairs, a double
bedroom and a bathroom with shower. Air conditioning in the bedrooms THE
PARK 5000 sq m of parkland surround the house. The flat expanse of lawn,
enclosed by a high hedge and full of tall trees like cypresses, pines and
firs, interspersed with well-kept flower beds that definine different areas
of the garden and are planted with hydrangeas, geraniums, roses and herbs.
With the wood oven and built-in barbecue guests can prepare meals for
family or friends in the shade of the pergola set between the main house
and one of the two annexes, furnished with tables and chairs, and close to
the pool. Just past the iron gate is the gravel car park with covered and
open-air parking spaces. THE SWIMMING POOL Pretty lanterns are set around
the pool and the parking area, to ensure adequate lighting at night. On the
same level of the house and just 15 m from it, the pool is easily
accessible from both the main house and the annexes, due to the flat
terrain and total absence of steps. It measures 7 x 15 m with a constant
depth of 1.40 m. It is lined with ceramic tiles, access to the water is via
ladder or Roman steps and it has chlorine purification. The solarium area,
paved in terracotta next to the pool and covered in lawn in the remaining
areas, is equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs, tables and a cold-water shower
as well as a gazebo with sofas and armchairs which constitutes a
comfortable outdoor seating area. The pool is open from the last Saturday
in April until the first Saturday of October. Animals: yes Extra On
