Situated near Cortona, Casale Lombriciano is set within Casali di Montecchio, a lovely complex comprising five houses surrounding an old villa (itself subdivided into several double- or triple-level units). Each one is surrounded by its own sizable private garden to relax in, along with its gazebo ideally suited to “alfresco” lunch and dining. The large 20-metre swimming pool, with a beautiful view of Cortona, is shared. (Note: it is opened seasonally, usually from sometime in May through late September; specific dates do vary, so when in doubt, check with us for further information.)
The single-level, air-conditioned house offers a high quality interior, furniture and furnishings, including antiques and original art work; there’s a small but substantial library featuring art books and guides primarily in French, English and Italian
